Racecourse Features and Location

The historic city of Worcester has hosted racing at Pitchcroft, on the banks of the River Severn since 1718. Situated in the idyllic, tree lined surroundings of Pitchcroft, just five minutes walk from the city centre and conveniently located close to the M5 providing easy access to the main motorway network and all areas of the country.

Race Sponsorship

Sponsoring a race, or several races, or even a whole day is a very effective way of getting your Company message across, while enjoying all the benefits of a Corporate Day at the races. It is also a great way to celebrate a special event such as an anniversary or a birthday. Below are listed the benefits and costs involved in race sponsorship.

Benefits:

· Choosing the Race title, to incorporate a company name or a personal celebration. This is published in all National Daily papers, racing press and evening paper reaching approximately 30 million readers.
· Attheraces television coverage, and live coverage going to bookmakers countrywide, satellite subscribers and to other racecourses.
· A full-page advert in the racecard and acknowledgement in the race conditions.
· A banner site on the home straight to increase public awareness of the day’s sponsors.
· Promotion of the sponsorship during PA announcements and race commentary.
· Opportunity to present your prize for the ‘best turned out’ horse, judged and presented in the parade ring prior to the race.
· Presentation of your memento to the Winning Connections, to include mementos for the Winning Trainer and Jockey if desired, in
· the Winner’s enclosure after the race.
· Photographic print of the presentation.
· Champagne with the Winning Connections and the Racecourse Executive after the race.
· Opportunity to hand out flyers at the course.

Costs:

· The package is tailored to suit the needs and requirements of all our clients – please call Jenny Cheshire to discuss the price per race and per day.
· A cash Best Turned Out Award, presented to the stablehand in charge of the horse you judge to be smartest in the ring prior to racing.
· A memento for the Winning Owner, which we can provide at cost (and can arrange to be engraved with the Sponsors details if desired – notice required).
· At the Sponsor’s discretion, a memento for both the winning Trainer and Jockey.
