About The RCA
The Racecourse Association (RCA) is the trade organisation representing 59 of Britain's racecourses and is one of the major bodies within the racing industry.
The racecourses stage two 'codes' of horseracing, flat and jumping, both of which take place all the year round. Sixteen courses race only on the flat, twenty-four over jumps and nineteen under both codes including racing on artificial surfaces at three All-Weather Tracks. Over five million people come racing each year.
RCA Objectives:
- To promote the highest professional standard in racecourse management, Health and Safety, medical and veterinary best practice
- To promote racecourse interests within the racing industry and generally
- To provide information, training and support for racecourses
- Management of Racegoers Club
- To assist Racecourses to comply with regulations and British Horseracing Authority General Instructions
Our British Racecourses Internet site is designed to provide information on fixtures, principal races and special events throughout the year.
We hope that the site will be used extensively by both the media and racegoers. Should further information be required on any aspect of coming racing we would be delighted to help.
